Preferred room and roommate description
Hello future roomie!
The story goes, my current roommate is about to move out to be closer to her job. Sadly, I lost a great partner in crime!
To fill her space, I'm turning to CL and that's where YOU come in! The apartment is available as of December 1st.
The place is phenominal, and I really don't want to move.. hence my ad here. We're on the 3rd floor of a tri-plex with excellent (quiet) neighbors.
- Rent is $560/month + 1/2 of the shared expenses - Hydro/Cable/etc... (always comes out to less than $100/month, so $660 all enclusive is a very safe bet)
- Cable Internet, Cable TV, and Phone is provided (The phone is unlimited long distance across North America, anytime.. I can also enable it so you can access it from your cell phone - Call the USA for free from your cell, anytime! - No more LD Charges)
- Radiant heating (mmmm toasty!)
- Air conditioning for the summer (bbrrrr!)
- Laundry on site (Basement).. $2 wash, $1.50 dry
- On Site Parking available if needed ($50 for a spot, or street for free)
- Park, library, tennis court, baseball diamond, outdoor hockey rink (winter only) all directly across the street
- 20 second walk to the 88 South Leaside (St. Clair Station).. 10 minute frequency
- 3 minute walk to the 11 Bayview (Davisville Station).. 10 minute frequency
- No bugs/problems.. No roaches, ants, spiders, bed bugs or any other terrible problem
- Hardwood throughout, tile in the kitchen and bathroom
- Balcony/Fire escape (with chairs & a BBQ - great for the summer!)
- Non smoking apartment (if you smoke, cool, just on the balcony please!)
- Storage locker in the basement with lots of room for a bike or extra stuff you may have
- 3 Grocery stores within walking distance (2 quite close)
- Great shops right at Bayview (3 min walk) with pubs, movies, restaurants, etc
- Very very low crime area
- I have 1 amazing cat (very docile!) and would be willing to add another cats if needed.. preferably no animals, but I'm open.
- Oh, and there's awesome shower pressure! (seriously, you'll never feel this good)
The apartment is almost completely fully furnished right now. I've got all of the necessities, however should you have some stuff to add, we can easily do so with little to no problem. I'm definitely not adverse to tossing/selling some of what I have should your furnishings be more suitable. Still, there's lots of room for another couch/etc.
If you need, I can furnish your room to a certain extent. I previously had a single bed there, but it's since been thrown out (current roomie didn't need it). However, there's still a desk, TV/VCR, second desk in the living room for your use, closet area, standing wardrobe, shelving + other small random things for the room you may need.
As for me.. Well, I'm extremely laid back. I'm into all the usual things you'd expect a 27 year old male to be into. I'm not much for having a lot of people over, but I do have a friend or two drop in usually once a week or so. Other than that, I work 9-5 through the week, and am usually in bed by 1130pm. My shift will probably change to an 11-7, so I'd be in bed by shortly after midnight once that kicks in.. Weekends are completely something different, and depends on what's going on! I don't play loud music, definitely respect your space, and overall try and be a good guy all around. I tend to think I'm a pretty wicked person. I have a great sense of humor, and you'll probably find that I'll cook you dinner at least once a week. I suppose if you want, you can cook for me once and a while too, but if you come home with Chinese food, I won't complain either (there's a chinese food place across the street! *wink*).
Now.. you! You're male or female, straight, bi, gay, lesbian... I'm not picky. Race and religion are not important, however I would only ask that if you do have beliefs, respect the fact that I don't and just simply don't impose on me in that regard. I'll respect yours! I'd prefer you to be generally around my age (I'm 27.. so, you're 20-early 30's), but I'm willing to make an exception for the right person. You're respectful of my space, don't have a ton of people over all of the time, and for the most part prefer to go out to party as opposed to getting crazy here. If you have a boyfriend/girlfreind I'm totally ok with them being here and staying with you. Just respect the fact that I live here too :-) ... I'll promise to adhere to the same..
I'm more than happy to have you over anytime to view the apartment and also to meet me. I'm sure you'll want to ensure we're at least semi-compatible on a friendship level!
